A Zimbabwean national, Kuzi is a New York-qualified lawyer and a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA). He holds a Bachelor of Laws with European Legal Studies (LLB) from King’s College London. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) and a PhD in Law from McGill University.
In addition to his work with Paxus, Kuzi is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law, University of Hong Kong, where he researches and teaches at the intersection of digital finance, sustainable finance and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Kuzi advises business enterprises in many sectors, including agriculture and real estate, on sustainable finance, ESG, and human rights due diligence strategies. He developed his expertise in human rights as a policy advisor, project manager and head of legal and compliance at One Earth Future Foundation, where he worked on peacebuilding projects with communities affected by conflict. Kuzi also served as a Fellow & Strategic Advisor to the McGill Initiative on International Tax Justice & Human Rights.
Kuzi is widely published in his areas of expertise and is the author of the book Hired Guns & Human Rights: Global Governance & Access to Remedies in the Private Military and Security Industry.
