Aishwarya is an Indian-qualified lawyer. She holds a BA LLB from the National Law Institute University (NLIU) in Bhopal and a LLM in Environmental and Energy Law from New York University School of Law.
Aishwarya was previously an Associate in the International Arbitration practice at Al Tamimi & Company in Dubai. She has also served as an International Finance and Development Fellow at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Geneva and as a researcher at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI) in New York.
Aishwarya has experience representing clients in ICC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA and DIAC arbitration proceedings across various industries, including real estate, hospitality, construction, technology and manufacturing. She also has experience advising governments on investment treaty negotiations and debriefing them on the ECT modernisation process and on the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Working Group III (UNCITRAL WGIII) meetings on investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) reform.
